Ceylon and Assam Teas are wonderful rich and malty Black Teas; they come from Ceylon and India. Black Teas are great for breakfast and can be drunk in the afternoon as well, for a quick bit of rejuvenation. For tea lovers who are sensitive to caffeine, there are Decaffeinated Black teas to explore, such as English Breakfast, Earl Grey and perhaps an Orange Spice in The Winter. Earl Grey is a Black tea that has the oil of bergamot added to the leaves, and Darjeeling Black tea comes from very high in the mountains of India-how quaint, how alluring and exotic! These tea gardens produce Black teas that are well loved and appreciated the world over!
Green teas, reminds me of a piece of expensive Jade or a wonderful green flower, where rain falls and misty mountains speak of ancient secrets in mysterious lands-all of these things satisfy me in a cup of Green tea… Revitilizing and stimulating to the mind and soul of a person, are the steaming leaves as they unfurl for the pleasure of the eyes. Drink a Fine Lung Ching Green tea for strength and rejuvenation, or a Gunpowder Green tea to stay alert. Try a Japanese Sencha Green tea with flowers or a Bancha for a lighter cup of Green tea. Black Teas and Green Teas are full of antioxidants!
Oolongs remain forever in time, as a tea that sits in between a Black tea and a Green tea. Strong and aromatic; Oolong carries health benefits and is orange in color, with fruity notes; is called a “Blue Green” Tea, and from the island of Formosa; very popular tea!
Rooibos tea is a herbal tea from a plant in South Africa, where one can sit with the laughing dove while they sip their Rooibos tea… Rich in flavor and is a red color with caramel notes and full of antioxidants-studies show a wide variety of health benefits!
Try a Special Blend tea, where one Black tea is another’s favorite! How sublime and heavenly! Where a Ceylon tea may be mixed with fruits and natural flavors or flowers-lovely! Green tea with Jasmine Flowers or Earl De La Crème with Blue Mallow blossoms creates quite an entourage! Many possibilities in the world of Fine Teas!
If you are cold, tea will warm you; if you are heated it will cool you; if you are depressed, it will cheer you; if you are excited, it will calm you."Herbert John Gladstone, Prime Minister of Great Britain (1854-1930)
